Orson Bean Memorial Postponed

Orson was the grandfather of our theater and a beautiful human being who was generous, honest, and who loved theater with all of his heart. He will always be an inspiration and an example to us. He was a great showman, an inspired comedian, and marvelous actor. Most importantly, all of us knew him as a caring, kind, evolved human being.

A note from Orson’s Daughter

Dear Friends of PRT,

We were planning on preceding to celebrate Orson in a smaller group with a livestream to you all, but on further thought and after a family meeting just now, we have decided, as a family, to postpone the memorial.

We do this with respect and love for so, so many people who would not have been able to be there, and who we know loved Orson as we do.  And also with respect for the health officials asking us all, basically, not to gather at this time.

As soon as we can, we will pick another date, when the world is a happier place.   And we’ll cheer and yell and celebrate together the life of Orson Bean!
